- Follow Polarity Standards: Use TIA-568-C.0 A-B polarity for discrete duplex patch cords. When facing the port in the key-up position, B is on the left and A is on the right. This maintains consistent polarity across multiple segments .
- Install Transceivers: Insert compatible SFP or SFP+ modules into the media converters or switches at both ends. Connect the fiber cable to the appropriate port (A or B) on each transceiver .
