- SC/PC: Square connector, widely used in telecom and LAN applications.
- FC/PC: Circular connector, often used in Fibre Channel systems.
- LC/PC: Small form factor, common in high-density applications.
- E2000/APC: Angled physical contact, used in high-performance networks.

- FC-SC: Circular to square, connecting ODF boxes to equipment ports.

- Polish types: UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) or APC (Angled Physical Contact) for low insertion loss and return loss.
